New to Whispir v3.7 - categories, web publishing, and RSS feeds

From Thursday September 17 2009, all Whispir clients will be upgraded to version 3.7 of the Whispir platform. This is an all new release from Asia Pacific's leader in High Availability messaging solutions.

New innovations and features for all Whispir clients:

  • Message Categories
  • Searching and Filtering by Category
  • Publish to the Web
  • Publish to RSS Feeds

New Message Categories

Use categories to organise messages. Group messages into incidents, events or add a category of your choice

Categories can be attached during the composition of a Message, or automatically using standard Templates

In conjunction with Labels, Categories can be used to 'tag' messages.

  • Categorise messages to assist with the communication workflow.
  • Predictive text input for company specific categories.
  • Automatically assign Categories by using templates.

Filter and Search

  • Filter and sort by one or more Categories in the Workspace view.

Manage Categories

  • Categories can be pre-populated by an Administrator.
  • Develop and deploy standardised formats for tagging messages.
  • Assign colours to convey type, status, or urgency.

Publish to the Web

Publish content instantly to your corporate website, in addition to Whispir's contact and user portals

Extend your reach. Engage public stakeholders. No change to your workflow, just send a message to instantly publish content to your corporate or public website.

With customisation by Whispir to meet your corporate requirements, the publish feature can be utilised by organisations at minimal additional cost. Speak to your Whispir Account Manager to discuss how you can leverage seamless publishing and RSS as part of your communication strategy to reach colleagues, customers and the wider community.

New Web channel

The addition of a new Web channel tab on the messaging screen enables you to create content suitable for a wider audience, while retaining the capability to personalise the Mobile, Email, and Voice channels for individuals.

Automatically Expire content

Content that is published to the web can be automatically removed by setting an expiry time in minutes, hours or even days.

Create and Publish RSS Feeds

Syndicate content automatically, with no change to your workflow

RSS Feeds enable you to syndicate your content, and 'push' updates automatically out to the web. Feeds enable external stakeholders to subscribe to timely updates, or to aggregate many different feeds into a single place.

  • Publish to multiple RSS Feeds using Categories.
  • Use the flexibility of RSS to publish to social sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
  • Feeds are published in the RSS 2.0 standard.
  • Use any common RSS subscription tool, such as MS Exchange or Google Reader.
