Held in the sprawling city of Houston, Texas, OTC 2022 was three jam-packed days of Keynote Speakers, Executive Dialogues, an educational Around the World Series, as well as a mix of technical and panel sessions curated for talent acquisition specialists.<\/p>\n

Best of all was the diverse businesses and eye-catching products featured on the show floor \u2013 among them Whispir\u2019s with our automated recruiting solutions. In fact, with over 1,000 exhibitors in attendance, Whispir was proud to be invited by the\u00a0Australian Trade and Investment Commission<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to join them at their booth.<\/p>\n

What is the Offshore Technology Conference?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Offshore Technology Conference is an annual gathering of energy professionals where they can exchange ideas and opinions that advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters. Founded in 1969, OTC\u2019s flagship conference has expanded technically and globally with the Arctic Technology Conference, OTC Brasil, and OTC Asia.<\/p>\n

OTC ranks among the largest 200 tradeshows held annually in the United States and is among the 10 largest meetings in terms of attendance. The event is sponsored by 13 industry organizations and societies, which work cooperatively to develop the program each year. Always held in Houston, the city is a perfect landscape for the conference as it remains home to 4,600 energy-related firms that employ nearly a quarter-million innovators and problem-solvers focused on delivering offshore energy. (OTC2022<\/span><\/a>)<\/p>\n

What we heard at OTC<\/span><\/h2>\n

Among the many emerging technologies and energy solutions packed onto the sales floor, the Whispir team continued to hear one name pop into the conversation: WhatsApp. \u201cThat\u2019s where it’s at for keeping energy and utilities teams informed and organized,\u201d says Briana Borsellino, Regional Account Executive, representing Whispir at OTC 2022.<\/p>\n

This was great news for everyone in attendance, as one of Whispir\u2019s primary integrations is with the WhatsApp messenger. \u201cThe key is our API\u2019s ability to integrate seamlessly with the international-messaging app, which helps impart relevant and timely information via the platform their teams are using the most.\u201d However, the perks of Whispir don\u2019t stop there.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile some teams weren\u2019t currently in the market for a communications platform to help with the hiring and recruiting side, they were interested in other ways Whispir could automate the way they do business,\u201d says Borsellino.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
