MELBOURNE – 31 October 2017 – Whispir today names Paul Bohannon as chief revenue officer (CRO) to spearhead the company’s global customer and revenue strategy as it accelerates business growth and continues its international expansion. The newly created position will lead a vital approach to capitalise on new global opportunities, support channel partner strategies and steer the company’s product roadmap and go to market plans.
Based in Sydney, Paul will design Whispir’s fresh global revenue strategy, tapping into data analytics to develop predictable, repeatable and scalable programs that can be rolled out internationally. He will work closely with senior leaders across Whispir’s offices on all customer facing business areas including global sales, channel partnerships, customer service and enablement, and product and solution architecture.
Paul was most recently Whispir’s executive vice president for Australia and New Zealand, where he rebuilt and energised a world class technology sales organisation, introducing the cadence, planning and people skills required to drive doubling revenue, year on year.“The CRO role is an important strategic addition to our global leadership team as Whispir moves into its next phase of growth,” said Jeromy Wells, founder, CEO and chairman at Whispir. “In this position, Paul will help us meet growing international demand and ensure we can exploit all opportunities. Paul has a long and diverse career in technology, working across defence and telecommunications where he specialised in banking and finance, manufacturing, transport and logistics, and retail. He spent more than 20 years at Telstra and joined Whispir from his role as business development director at Optus.
