Randstad is a leading global recruitment agency with businesses in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas, New Zealand, and Australia.

Randstad Australia has a presence in every state throughout the country, offering specialised recruitment and HR solutions across a broad range of skills, disciplines, and industry sectors. They have over 800 consultants working to place every candidate in the right temporary or permanent role.

The challenge

In order to place a candidate in the correct role, Randstad needs to obtain a candidate’s CV and preferences, and send them job descriptions as they come up. This was a manual task, requiring their workers to either call or email the candidate for the information when required.

This is fine for permanent roles that take longer to place, but the temporary placements desk is fast-paced, with many businesses requesting temporary fulfilments for roles on the same day.

Consultants would make multiple calls to potential candidates for same-day placement and then relay this information back to the client. This was not an efficient process for fulfilling temporary roles.

Randstad bulk sends a request to all potential candidates who respond with a yes or no. Further information is then sent to the selected individual.
